Why should I use CareSimply?

CareSimply offers reliable, simple, and affordable, quality care. We rigorously screen every caregiver to ensure you’re hiring a reliable individual. CareSimply takes care of insurance, paperwork, and taxes, making home care incredibly simple. Furthermore, you avoid expensive agency fees and hourly minimums. How should I use CareSimply?

You can search for caregivers based on your zip code here. You’ll be presented with a list of qualified caregivers in your area. We invite you to browse through their profiles and find the perfect caregiver for you. Next, contact that caregiver to talk about your care needs and schedule an interview. Finally, you can hire and pay your caregiver online using your account. If you need help, we're only a phone call away.

How much does it cost to use CareSimply?

You can browse caregiver profiles for free and you only pay for services after you receive them from caregivers. Caregivers set their own hourly rate, and CareSimply charges a small service fee which covers all the services we provide: background checks, caregiver reviews, payroll processing, insurance, tax filing and remittance, and more. .

How is CareSimply different from traditional home care agencies or other home care services?

CareSimply is NOT a home care agency. In essence there are two ways to find home care. One, you go through an agency. Agencies typically charge higher rates and have minimum weekly time commitments. Two, you can hire a caregiver independently. .

CareSimply takes the best of both worlds. We are not a typical agency so you work directly with caregivers which means the hourly rates are lower and there is more flexibility - you can use our service as much or as little as you would like. Have your caregivers received background checks?

On each caregiver profile you will be able to see if a background check has been conducted, or you’ll have the ability to request one. All CareSimply Verified Caregivers have gone through a more intense screening and vetting process. Learn more about our screening process here.

Do I have to pay payroll taxes if I hire a CareSimply caregiver?

The IRS determines caregivers hired independently to be employees and should have taxes withheld. CareSimply makes this process as simple and painless as possible. You pay the hourly rate of your caregiver and we handle all the rest. Learn more about taxes here.

Who determines the hourly rates of the caregivers?

Caregivers set their own hourly rate. They determine their hourly rate based on their experience, certifications, and education. The hourly rate on the profile of each caregiver can be seen as the minimum rate they are willing to work for. When a caregiver is hired, both the client and the caregiver agree on a fair hourly rate for that job.

Will I be charged before meeting with a caregiver?

No. You will be asked to input your credit card details before you’re able to book a shift. However, you won’t be charged until after the services you requested are delivered by the caregiver.

How do I make payment?

Payments are made through the CareSimply website using your credit card or bank account. After the caregiver logs all of his/her hours using Shift Reports on our website. You will approve the shift reports and payment will be made every two weeks on Friday. We will charge your credit card or withdraw the funds from your bank account and make a direct deposit to the caregiver. Learn more about online payment here.

Will I ever have to pay the caregiver directly?

No, CareSimply will take care of all payments. No need for you to drive to the bank every other day or leave cash or checkbooks lying around.

Am I always protected by insurance when I hire through CareSimply?

Yes, you are. When you book and hire a caregiver through CareSimply you are automatically covered for bodily injury, property damage, and theft. Learn more about insurance.

Why should I use CareSimply?

CareSimply is the easiest way to get connected with people that need quality home care in your area. Furthermore, CareSimply offers flexibility. You’ll be able to accept only the clients of your choice, set your own hourly rate (and keep 100% of that rate), and pick your own hours. Finally, we take care of all the payments, taxes, paperwork, and other administrative hassles. In short, CareSimply offers the best of both independent caregiving and working for a home care agency.

How much does it cost me to list my profile on CareSimply?

It’s absolutely 100% free to list your profile on CareSimply. CareSimply charges a service fee to the client when they hire and pay caregivers through the CareSimply website.

How does payment work?

Both caregivers and care seekers will provide payment details to CareSimply. CareSimply will process all payments, acting as a secure third-party for these transactions. Caregivers are not allowed to accept money directly from clients nor their family.

When do I get paid?

After you complete your shift you’ll be asked to fill out a Shift Report. The Shift Report details the number of hours you worked and the activities/services you provided during that time. The client that received your services will review and accept your Shift Reports and every two weeks on Friday, you'll receive a direct deposit for your earnings that pay period.

Do I have to handle my own taxes?

When you get hired through CareSimply you become that client's employee. As such, certain federal and state taxes will be withheld from your paycheck. Fortunately, CareSimply handles all the calculations for you. We'll collect your information and then make sure the proper amount is being withheld. This is economically better for you as a caregiver, because if you are hired as an independent contractor, you will be stuck paying more in payroll taxes as well as having to file and calculate your own withholdings.

Who decides my hourly rate?

You set your own hourly rate. This is radically different from working for a home care agency, which typically keeps the bulk of the money paid by the care seeker. With CareSimply you keep your entire hourly rate. CareSimply charges the care seekers a service fee on top of that.

How should I determine my hourly rate?

We believe that you know best how how much your experience is worth. As a point of reference, we advise you to look at other CareSimply caregivers in your area. In case you have significant experience, acquired different licenses, and received raving reviews, you can probably charge an above average rate. If you’re still unsure about what to charge, don’t hesitate to contact us.

What’s a Caregiver Profile?

A caregiver profile is a page on our website dedicated to a single caregiver. Clients will evaluate potential caregivers by browsing through your profile. It contains all the information a client needs to feel comfortable hiring the right caregiver for the job. Therefore it’s very important you provide complete, up to date, and honest information when you’re filling out your profile.

Can I set my own schedule?

Yes, you’ll be able to set your own availability. Care seekers will see the times and days when you’re available and can schedule your services accordingly.

Why can’t I see my profile on CareSimply
